The Tablao de Carmen opened its doors in 1988 to pay homage to Carmen Amaya, internationally known flamenco “bailaora”.  The Tablao presents a pure flamenco show of great quality, direct heir to the “flamenca” tradition. It also gives the leading role alternately to its different expressions: music, song and dance. The Tablao de Carmen is located within the walls of Poble Espanyol, on the mountain of Montjuïc.
